Remember how much fun you had at bath time as a child? Why should those days be long gone?

As it turn out, with the right toys and accessories, you can turn bathing back into a fun and luxurious experience!

And don't forget the ducky!

Whatever you choose to make your bath a relaxing and fun experience, be sure to treat your skin well with high quality soaps, oils, salts or other bath additives. After all, that's what bathing is for, right?

3 Tips for Bath Time Relaxation

~ via Marinstat.com

There’s nothing better at the end of a long, stressful day than a relaxing warm bath. Below are three tips you may find surprising, but really work to make your bath truly refreshing and relaxing.

#1 – Prepare in Advance

Before you head to the bath, make sure everything is ready ahead of time. One of the first steps to doing this is giving your bathroom, and especially the bathtub a thorough cleaning. Be sure to remove any of your children’s toys, and have a fresh, fluffy towel and bathrobe near the tub for when you’re ready to get out. If you have a bathroom heater, go ahead and switch it on before getting in to avoid those uncomfortable chills when you leave the warm water. Gather any bath recipes or bubble solutions you plan to use before hand, and go ahead and pour yourself that nice, chilled glass of wine. With everything set up, you avoid having to hop in and out, which can really put a damper on the relaxation that is supposed to be occurring.

#2 – Shower First

It may seem silly to shower before you get into the bath, but it works. Taking a few quick minutes to shower off before running your warm bathwater avoids any lingering feeling of dirt or grime that you may have accumulated during your work day. This way, you don’t have to worry about jumping up and getting clean after your bath, or try to wash up in the tub. Your bath will be solely for the pleasure and relaxation of it. Make the process of showering part of your bath. Choose an exfoliating sponge or soap, and give your body a good scrubbing. When you get in the bath you’ll feel ready to soak and relax for a good, long time.

#3 – Throw in Some Extras

If your muscles are feeling particularly tense and sore, or if you’ve been having trouble sleeping lately, consider throwing some extras into your bath. There are a variety of products out there, but for muscle tension and soreness, nothing works better than using some mineral salts. For trouble sleeping, enhance that mineral salts with a little lavender bath scent, which will help to further relax and prepare you for a restful night in dreamland.
