Be sure to remove any of your children’s toys, and have a fresh, fluffy towel and bathrobe near the tub for when you’re ready to get out. If you have a bathroom heater, go ahead and switch it on before getting in to avoid those uncomfortable chills when you leave the warm water. Gather any bath recipes or bubble solutions you plan to use before hand, and go ahead and pour yourself that nice, chilled glass of wine. With everything set up, you avoid having to hop in and out, which can really put a damper on the relaxation that is supposed to be occurring.

It may seem silly to shower before you get into the bath, but it works. Taking a few quick minutes to shower off before running your warm bathwater avoids any lingering feeling of dirt or grime that you may have accumulated during your work day.
